Welcome to RevChart! We're thrilled to help you unlock powerful insights from your Atlassian Marketplace sales data. This guide will walk you through the simple steps to get started.

Here's what we'll cover:

  1. Choosing Your Plan & Starting Your Trial
  2. Connecting Your Atlassian Marketplace Vendor
  3. Enabling Your Apps for Data Tracking
  4. Initial Data Ingestion

1. Choose Your Plan & Start Your Trial

To begin using RevChart, you'll need to select a subscription plan. We offer a range of plans to suit different business needs. If you're not quite ready to commit, no problem! You can start a free trial and cancel anytime.

  • Explore Our Plans: Visit our Pricing Page to review the available options and choose the one that best fits your requirements.
  • Start Your Trial: Once you've selected a plan, click "Start Trial" and complete the checkout process. You'll then be automatically directed to the next step: connecting your vendor.

2. Connect Your Atlassian Marketplace Vendor

IMPORTANT: Please also read the article on Managing API token Permissions before proceeding.

RevChart connects to the Atlassian Marketplace using an API token. This allows us to securely access your sales data. Here's how to connect your vendor:

  • Generate an API Token:
    • Log in to your Atlassian account and navigate to the Security Page.
    • In the API Tokens Section, create a new API token.
    • Important: Label the token "RevChart" (or a descriptive name) so you can easily identify it later if you need to revoke access.
    • Copy the API token and keep it safe.
  • Add Your Vendor in RevChart:
    • In RevChart, go to the Vendor Setup Page.
    • Click "Add New Vendor" and enter:
      • The email address associated with your Atlassian Marketplace API token.
      • The API token you just created.
    • Click "Retrieve Vendors".
    • Select the vendor you wish to connect.
    • Use the three-dot menu next to the vendor and select "Add Vendor".
  • Move to App Setup:
    • Once the vendor is added successfully, use the 3-dot menu next to the vendor and select "Add Apps".

3. Enable Your Apps for Data Tracking

Now that your vendor is connected, you need to enable the specific apps you want to track in RevChart.

  • Navigate to App Setup: You should already be on the App Setup Page, showing your connected vendor.
  • Add Apps: Use the three-dot menu next to your vendor and select "Add Apps". This will retrieve a list of all apps associated with that vendor.
  • Enable Apps: Use the three-dot menu next to the app you want to track and select "Enable". This will add the app to RevChart's reporting and begin the data ingestion process.

4. Initial Data Ingestion

Congratulations! You've successfully connected your vendor and enabled your apps. RevChart will now begin ingesting your sales data.

  • Data Processing Time: Depending on the volume of your sales data, this process may take a few minutes.
  • Explore Your Dashboard: Once the data ingestion is complete, head over to your Dashboard to explore your sales metrics and gain valuable insights.
